Mark your calendars for April 20<\/strong>, as the Carney Latin American Solidarity Archive (CLASA) will be co-hosting the Annual Pax Christi Michigan conference<\/strong>. The event will be held on the McNichols campus, inside the Student Union Ballroom<\/strong> on Saturday, April 20.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s conference features several keynote speakers and activities. The event will be headlined by keynote speaker Lisa Sullivan, who will set the tone for discussion on environmental responsibility and interconnectedness with her theme \u201cAll is Connected: The Sacred Journey of Caring for our Common Home.\u201d<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mary Hanna, one of the event organizers, is enthusiastic about the conference.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to our wonderful keynote speaker (Lisa Sullivan), and our dynamic Action Coordinator (Senator Stephanie Chang), we will also be hosting two guests from Pax Christi USA: Michelle Sherman -Project Director for Nonviolence and Campus Outreach, and Stephanie Niamke – PCUSA\u2019s new National Field Organizer,\u201d said Hanna.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, life-long peace activist Joe Droste, and the Strangers No Longer-Youth in Action for Immigration, will be recognized.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.\u00a0 A continental breakfast is included. Lunch will be provided at 12:00 p.m. The annual Young Peace Activist Award will be presented at 2:00 p.m. The event will end with a closing prayer at 3:30 p.m.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
