Held virtually on October 5, the conference featured breakout sessions where students shared creative works, including poetry and personal reflections on social justice, trauma, and identity.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Representing Detroit Mercy were students Farah Abdulrahim, Cera Mlotkowski, Kateri Sollars, Ronan Mansilla, and Jenna Saker. Each presented unique perspectives, sparking meaningful dialogue and deep engagement from the audience. The panel offered an enriching experience for attendees, with Detroit Mercy students showcasing their skills and sharing insights on topics of political liberation, cultural identity, and personal growth.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Student<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">s who participated offered their reflections<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Cera Mlotkowski appreciated the opportunity to share personal experiences with a supportive audience. \u201cYour words matter, so listen and absorb the experiences of those joined by you,\u201d she advised future participants.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Farah Abdulrahim valued the audience\u2019s attentiveness and engagement, urging future presenters to share confidently: \u201cYour work is more valuable than you think.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For Jenna Saker, a Political Science major and Literature minor, the conference was a platform to express her Palestinian identity.
