In just a few days <\/span>last week<\/span>, <\/span>the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences, in collaboration with <\/span>the Detroit Mercy community<\/span>,<\/span> rallied <\/span>quickly<\/span> to collect and donate essential goods for Southwest Detroit in the wake of the devastating flooding there. <\/span>Donations were accepted in the main offices of Reno and Briggs.  On Saturday, Dean Jocelyn Boryczka, Communication Specialist Jorge Reyna, Alumni Relations Coordinator Sonya Reyna and Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc Detroit Chapters delivered the donations to the Patton Recreation Center. <\/span>The swift response and overwhelming generosity shown by our <\/span>College<\/span> highlights the power of radical hospitality and solidarity in times of crisis.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
