Now through December 5 | Donation bins located outside Reno 250<\/strong><\/p>\n

The College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences is partnering with local community organizations this holiday season to support Detroit families in need. From now through Thursday, December 5<\/strong>, CHASS is collecting new men\u2019s socks and children\u2019s socks<\/strong> to benefit the Detroit Rescue Mission<\/strong> and The Children\u2019s Center<\/strong>. These essential items are among the most requested during the winter months and make a meaningful impact for individuals and families facing hardship.<\/p>\n

In addition, the college is participating in the Marine Corps Reserve\u2019s Toys for Tots<\/strong> program, gathering new, unwrapped toys to help ensure that children across Detroit experience the joy of the holiday season. All donated items will be distributed through long-standing community partners who directly serve families in need throughout the region.<\/p>\n

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to contribute by dropping donations in the clearly marked bins located in the hallway outside Reno Hall, Room 250<\/strong>. Even small contributions \u2014 a pair of socks, a children\u2019s toy, or both \u2014 help extend Detroit Mercy\u2019s mission of compassion, dignity, and service during a time when support matters most.<\/p>\n
