Friday, August 18<\/p>\n

These past few days I\u2019ve read several news reporters who wrote something like this: \u201cI will be so glad for this week to end! \u00a0So much hard news, \u00a0so confusing and frightening as well. \u00a0It\u2019s not clear either, whether things events will not seem more threatening a week from now.<\/p>\n

Keeping up with the world\u2019s news always requires courage and patience but these past weeks! ! \u00a0 They test our mettle.<\/p>\n

What, then, might make a helpful Friday read?<\/p>\n

A love poem, a poem about revolutionary love, a brave poem. \u00a0 \u00a0 I often think this is my all time favorite.<\/p>\n

Best to read out loud, with pauses.<\/p>\n

Have a blest weekend.<\/p>\n

That our loyalty to one another and our loyalty to our work
\nnot be set in false conflict.<\/p>\n

That our love for each other give us love for each other\u2019s work
\nThat our love for each other\u2019s work give us love for one another.<\/p>\n

That our love for each other\u2019s work give us love for one another.
\nThat our love for each other give us love for each other\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

That our love for each other, if need be,
\ngive way to absence.\u00a0 And the unknown.<\/p>\n

That we endure absence, if need be,
\nwithout losing our love for each other.
\nWithout closing our doors to the unknown.<\/p>\n
