A hint showed up yesterday when a 4\u201d x 6\u201d card fell out of a book I hadn\u2019t opened in a while. This saying of D. H. Lawrence has stopped me in my tracks more often than I can count. \u00a0So I took it out of that book and gave it a visible place near my laptop work station.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, I saw it again and followed a hunch about today\u2019s post. \u00a0 I sought out a file with the label \u201cPoems-Prayers I love.\u201d \u00a0 Today\u2019s post is the result, a medley of short sayings that have opened my inner attention when I notice them. \u00a0I stopped at five.<\/p>\n<p>Best to read them separately,\u00a0out loud.<\/p>\n<p>Have a blest Wednesday, half way into this work week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>john sj<\/p>\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Post<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What is the knocking<\/p>\n<p>What is the knocking at the door in the night?<\/p>\n<p>It is somebody wants to do us harm.<\/p>\n<p>No, no.\u00a0 It is the three strange angels.<\/p>\n<p><u>Admit them<\/u>,\u00a0<u>admit them<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>D.H.
