High around 75F. Winds ESE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%.&#8221;<\/b> \u00a0\u00a0So <a href=\"http:\/\/Weather.com\">Weather.com<\/a> tells me at 7:35 am. \u00a07:35 reminds me that I am up later than usual and the calendar tells me that I have an earlier than usual meeting to prep for. \u00a0 Hustling this morning. \u00a0 I looked around in the \u201cPoems I love\u201d folder and found Susan B Auld\u2019s\u00a0\u201cRadishes\u201d: \u00a0small children with their mom become grown ups and, some days, pause to taste the wonder of their childhood adventures.<\/p>\n<p>I \u00a0hope you like the poem.<br \/>\nI \u00a0hope you pause at least 3 times today to taste some of the wonder in your life.<br \/>\nThe child in the picture lives in Jordan, \u00a0so too the radishes.<\/p>\n<p>Have a good day.<\/p>\n<p>john sj<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Today\u2019s Post<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cRadishes\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Pull up some radishes for dinner,<br \/>\n<\/i>my mother said.<br \/>\n<i>They grow next to the house under your bedroom window.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Afraid I\u2019d pull up something other than a radish<br \/>\nI gathered a sister, a brother<br \/>\nand we knelt in the dirt<br \/>\nunder the screened window<\/p>\n<p>looking<\/p>\n<p>at what we thought<br \/>\nto be a radish.<\/p>\n<p>Its leaves so new \u00a0 so green<br \/>\nour hands \u00a0so hesitant \u00a0so unsure<\/p>\n<p>we reached and pulled<\/p>\n<p>earth clung<br \/>\nto our fingers<br \/>\nto the fleshy roots<br \/>\nquivering in the sun<\/p>\n<p>we pulled up radish after radish<br \/>\nhanding them<br \/>\na bouquet<br \/>\nto our mother.<\/p>\n<p>She no longer cares for radishes.<br \/>\nMy sister, brother and I tend our own gardens.<\/p>\n<p>But I wish everyday<br \/>\nto kneel again<br \/>\nunder that window<\/p>\n<p>to feel new and green<br \/>\nhesitant and unsure.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Radishes&#8221; by Susan B.
