{"id":843,"date":"2014-10-21T00:00:07","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T00:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/mission-and-identity\/?p=843"},"modified":"2019-09-18T16:50:09","modified_gmt":"2019-09-18T20:50:09","slug":"843","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/poetry\/2014\/10\/21\/843\/","title":{"rendered":"Oct  21  near the end of this retreat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tuesday October 21,<\/p>\n<p>This is cheating a bit. \u00a0No poem today, just a personal thanksgiving for sheer beauty with some stillness.<\/p>\n<p>john sj<\/p>\n<p>p.s.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 from the last days of my retreat \u00a0at the home of a life long soul friend, \u00a0Connie de Biase, where I\u2019ve come to be still for c. 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>I wrote this journal note 2 years ago almost to the date from the same back porch where I sat this morning. \u00a0Marsh and estuary = stillness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can see Amtrac at the edge of the marsh.
