Do you have underrepresented students that are looking to earn a PhD in biomedical science and just aren’t quite ready to go to graduate school or need a little bit more experience\/time to be truly competitive for a top tier graduate program? \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

If so, please let them know about our Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program at The Ohio State University, DISCOVERY PREP. This NIH-funded postbac program runs for one year and is designed to prepare recent college graduates for success in graduate school.<\/p>\n

Accepted scholars are provided with:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0PAID one year research experience\u00a0<\/b>in a laboratory with a nationally recognized research mentor in a biomedical science discipline<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Individual mentoring<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assistance with application preparation<\/b>\u00a0for PhD graduate programs<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Career development workshops<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Graduate Record Exam (GRE) preparation assistance<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Opportunities to travel and network with other scientists<\/b>\u00a0throughout the nation<\/p>\n
