Schnitzel

Hello, my name is Max Jaster, I am a sophomore at Xavier University from Columbus Ohio. The dish I will be sharing today is Schnitzel, an iconic German dish that I have had many times growing up in a German family.  To make enough Schnitzel to feed 4 people you will need: 4 boneless pork chops, 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoons of black pepper, 1 cup of flour, 2 large eggs, 1tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 cup of bread crumbs, and vegetable oil for frying.  This dish will take about 10 minutes to prepare, and another 10 minutes or so to cook.

To cook this dish you will need to first need to pound the chops until about ¼ inch thick.  Then you want to prepare flour into a dish, in another dish you will want to whisk the eggs with lemon juice, and in a third dish you will want to have your bread crumbs.  Next, coat the chops in flour, then eggs, and finally coat them in bread crumbs.  Then prepare a skillet with some vegetable oil at 350 degrees F.  Place the chops on the pan and fry for 3 to 4 minutes, then flip it over and cook other side for another 3 to 4 minutes.  Then serve with lemon juice, mushroom gravy, cranberry jam, etc.
