Mohamed Nafea
Mohamed Nafea office: E328 About MeI am an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Detroit Mercy since Fall 2020. Before that, I spent 1 year as a postdoctoral research fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology. I received my Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, University Park PA in 2018 under supervision of Prof. Aylin Yener. I also received a masters degree in Mathematics from the same university in 2017, under supervision of Prof. Jan Reimann. Before that, I received a masters degree in wireless communications from Nile University, Egypt, in 2012, and my bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (communication and electronics specialization) from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2010. On the application side, I have a wide range of interests from data science, wireless communication, edge/distributed computing, autonomous driving, to social & policy sciences, humanities & philosophy, and health informatics.
