Our University of Detroit Mercy STEM faculty and university administrators are dedicated to evaluating Titans as they apply to Medical, Dental, Optometry, Pharmacy and numerous other graduate health profession programs. University of Detroit Mercy students and alumni who are applying to graduate programs in the health professions in Summer 2024 have access to the annual Committee Letter Process which opens January 5, 2024.
Each Winter semester, Titans from any major complete an application detailing their academic and extracurricular experiences that prepare them to competitively apply to their career programs. Completed application packets are delivered to about a dozen committees. Each committee evaluates the content of the application and interview in order to write a comprehensive letter.
Students who have transferred to the University of Detroit Mercy also benefit from the Committee Letter Process; The CLP application gives each Titan the opportunity to highlight their on an off campus activities that have prepared them for graduate school. Activities include but are not limited to the following:
- Undergraduate Research
- Clinical voluntary or paid experiences
- Community Service
- Campus clubs, activities & on campus employment
- Jobs, shadowing and other industry engagement
