“I think that an important thing to do when you first start off in the science classes is find a mentor or find someone that is going to help guild you through the process.”

“Figure out what you are passionate about – Who you are and who you want to be as a person….When you do that you will always have the motivation”. 

“Make sure you make good connections with professors because those are the people who will be writing your letters of recommendation. Having an A in the class is not making a connection with your professor. It is about going to office hours or maybe being part of their research lab….they are also good mentors because they are there and want to see you succeed”. 

Jada Nelson, a ReBuilDetroit scholar, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology 2020. She is a full time researcher as she launches the next stage of her career.

Jordan Manno graduated in 2019 from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She is in her second year of Pharmacy School at the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy.

Jeff Weisberger, Presented to Pre-med Titans over lunch in the Chemistry Building on February 20th.  One exciting option is how Ross starts medical school 3 times a year.
