Those bright smiles coming from the Detroit Pistons aren’t just because they’re undefeated so far this season. They may also have something to do with a Detroit Mercy Dental alumnus.
Robert DiPilla, D.D.S., ’89 has been recently named the official dentist for the Detroit Pistons.
“I have long been a fan of the Detroit Pistons and I am humbled and honored that they have selected me as their team dentist,” DiPilla said. “I look forward to treating the players with the celebrity-level care and top-notch technology I have treated all my patients with for over 25 years.”
DiPilla is a native Detroiter who completed a fellowship for dental implants at the Harvard Club after earning his D.D.S. at Detroit Mercy. He has been dentist to the stars since starting his career in Manhattan. After many years as a dentist to the stars in Manhattan, he decided to return to metro Detroit where his career began.
He established a practice in Birmingham, Mich., in 2002 and in 2015 he expanded to a new location in downtown Detroit. He maintains an office in Manhattan.
DiPilla is also the founder and president of The Society of Comprehensive Dentists, where he mentors other dental health professionals and continues to be recognized as a leader and expert resource in aesthetic dentistry.
And who is the Red Wings dentist? 😉
Question is, do hockey players have teeth?
