As of next week, Detroit Mercy alumni will have a new way to stay in touch with the University.
Forever Titans is the new, improved Alumni Relations site and will be the new way we will reach you and you will interact with the University.
The new website will offer event listings, a way to sign up for those events and galleries of photos of those events after they happen.
We’ve included a user-friendly directory of alumni searchable by class, degree, location and employer so you can get back in touch with people you met here. There’s also a job board that can be posted to directly by alumni who are looking for people like themselves, educated in the Jesuit and Mercy traditions.
One of the features we’re most excited about is a mentoring platform to promote organic networking opportunities.
Some Detroit Mercy alumni could benefit immensely from your academic, professional and personal experiences. We want to make it easy for you to help them. In the spirit of Titans helping Titans, we invite you to participate in Forever Titans as a mentor. Your participation can affect another life, and will allow you to feel a stronger connection with the University. To become a mentor check the “Willing to be a mentor” box while creating your profile.
Similarly, if you are fresh out of college and looking for some wisdom, and advice about life beyond Detroit Mercy, Forever Titans is where you should turn. You can search other alumni by their willingness to help, career fields, program fields, etc. From there you simply view their profile and send a message to request mentorship.
“We think this new platform is a real benefit for Detroit Mercy alumni to connect with each other and the University,” said Peggy Pattison, director of Alumni Relations. “This is one of many ways we are hoping to build a stronger bond between our alumni and the University, and we think it will be a powerful one.”
Look for an email next week telling you how to sign up for Forever Titans: It’s easy!
