Detroit Mercy Alum Angeline Fisher spoke with Pre-Health Advisor Carmen Gamlin about her time as a Detroit Mercy Titan as well as her exciting career as a Physician Assistant in Pain Management. Angeline provides insight on skills that are vital in this interesting sector of Health Care.
“The skill set needed for Pain Management definitely comes down to bedside manners, interpersonal skills and communication; a balance between empathy and practicality.”
This forever Titan recounts her time at Detroit Mercy as an Undergrad as well as Graduate student. She highlights memories of Chemistry assignments, Clinicals and core Titan friendships!
“I say all the memories I have with my core couple friends that were with me from the beginning of undergrad through grad school…I made memories in undergrad working on Organic Chemistry question sets together, expanding to PA School, reviewing our focus review for Clinical Medicine and then finally getting our long white coats at the end. All my memories of them were amazing!”
Angeline hopes to provide inspiration to those undergraduates who are working towards becoming Physician Assistants and glows about younger brother who is now in first year of graduate school for the PA Program at Detroit Mercy.
Angeline Fisher, PA-C completed the 5-Year PA Program at Detroit Mercy in 2019. She is now a Full-time Certified Physician Assistant at ANA Pain Management P.C.
