Center for Social Entrepreneurship open for business

The Centennial Gala was also the setting for the official opening of the College of Business Administration’s new Center for Social Entrepreneurship.

Dean of the College of Business Administration Joe Eisenhauer said the Center is “an important part of the College of Business Administration moving forward. It’s part of our mission and it’s good for the city of Detroit.”

Under the guidance of Center Director Fr. Phillip Cooke, S.J., the Center offers expertise and executive business acumen to entrepreneurs whose businesses will make a social impact on their neighborhood, their city and the world. At the grand opening, Detroit Mercy Provost and Vice President for Academic AffairsPamela Zarkowski read a letter of congratulations from U.S. Sen. Gary Peters ’84, an alumnus of the MBA program, who serves on the Senate Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee.
