Detroit is a hotspot, so says the New York Times

If you still live near University of Detroit Mercy—and our statistics show that 57 percent of our graduates do—you might want to spruce up your guest room. If you’ve moved away, you might want to pack your bags.

The New York Times has included Detroit on its list of “52 Places to Go in 2017.” In fact, it cracked the Top 10, coming in at No. 9.

The writers say Detroit has been promising a comeback for a long time, and they think this is the year it finally happens in a big way. Check it out here.

There’s also a nice story about a writer’s day in Detroit and a list of places to visit. Don’t forget to show off our three campuses when giving your friends tours.

It’s never too early to plan: Make your homecoming Sept. 29-30 so you can make our Homecoming events, which are already being planned.
