Among the many things being discussed by alumni at this past weekend’s Homecoming celebration were the high marks the University earned in The Wall Street Journal’s 2018 Times Higher Education College Rankings that came out early last week.

Over the past two years, The WSJ/THE College Rankings has earned critical acclaim for its pioneering approach to ranking U.S. colleges and universities that puts student success and learning at the heart of the rankings. This survey measures student engagement at universities, as well as outcomes and learning environments.

“This year’s ranking in The Wall Street Journal’s 2018 Times Higher Education reaffirms the quality of our exceptional students, the curricula and academic support provided by faculty and staff and our student-to-faculty ratio,” said Dr. Antoine M. Garibaldi, president of the university. “Those important factors have contributed to our high retention and graduation rates, more new students for the third consecutive year, and increasing numbers of applicants who have likely been attracted also by these reputational, data-based and survey rankings” he added.
