The American Dental Association is dentistry’s most important organization and the ADA News is its biggest publication. The most recent issue features an article on a 95-year-old alumnus of Detroit Mercy’s School of Dentistry.

Robert Kasper, D.D.S. ’54 was featured in advance of Nov. 11’s Veterans Day because he flew B-17s in World War II and returned to Detroit and came to University of Detroit on the G.I. Bill®.

“The profession was great,” he told a reporter for the ADA News. “I enjoyed it all.”

He also enjoyed life, flying planes until 2002 and traveling the world. He now lives in Naples, Fla.

“Dr. Kasper is a very special man who has an incredible soul,” said Kimberly A. Raleigh, Detroit Mercy Dental’s director of the Institute for Advanced Continuing Dental Education and Alumni Relations.
