About Ask The Professor

University of Detroit’s broadcast trivia show “Ask the Professor” is one of the longest running radio programs in the United States, having been on the air more than 60 seasons.

Moderated by Matthew J. Mio, Professor, Chemistry & Biochemistry, the program features University of Detroit Mercy faculty members from history, philosophy, math, English, religion, chemistry and communication.

This panel of professors is challenged by listeners with questions about nearly everything, in an attempt to stump the group. Detroit Mercy Communication Studies students help produce the program.

This site hosts archives of the show.
