The Women’s and Gender Studies Program’s invites the Detroit Mercy community to its Feminist Scholarship Colloquium on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. in the Presidents Dining Room.
The Colloquium will feature presentations by WGS Feminist Scholarship Grant recipients:
- Associate Professor of Religious Studies Hsiao-Lan Hu, will discuss her research project, “Identities, Educations, Agencies, and Power Struggles of Buddhist Women in Chinese Cultures.”
- Assistant Professor of Communication Studies Joseph Abisaid, will speak on his research project, “She Said, He Said: Gender, Sports Journalists and Tweets.”
