Volunteers needed for Honors Convocation

Dean of Students Monica Williams is looking for faculty, staff and students to volunteer for Honors Convocation ceremonies and liturgical service on Sunday, March 24. Students who volunteer earn points toward their leadership pin and medallion. Lunch will be provided in the Presidents’ Dining Room between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. To sign up, call 313-993-1033 before Friday, March 8.

University Honors Convocation celebrates the academic excellence and leadership of University of Detroit Mercy students. There will be a special Honors Convocation Mass at 1:30 p.m. in the Commerce & Finance Building’s St. Ignatius Chapel on the McNichols Campus.

Outstanding students from the College of Health Professions, College of Business Administration, College of Engineering & Science and College of Liberal Arts & Education will be honored at the following times/locations:

  • College of Health Professions – 11:30 a.m., Student Union Ballroom
  • College of Engineering & Science – 3 p.m., Student Union Ballroom
  • College of Liberal Arts & Education – 3:15 p.m., Gesu Catholic Church
  • College of Business Administration – 3:30 p.m., Fountain Lounge, Student Union
