Wednesday, Jan. 15

5:15 p.m., Room 209, Commerce & Finance Building

Historian Kevin Young will show his film, “Venezuelans under Seige,” about current suffering and a lack of medical supplies during the United States blockade.

Friday, Feb. 7

11 a.m. (with a repeat talk at noon), Room 317, Jane & Walter O. Briggs Building

Young people from Mexico and El Salvador will showcase community art projects at “Youth Leaders Across Borders.”

Wednesday, Feb. 12

7 p.m., Room 113, Ford Life Sciences Building

Activist, Author and Co-founder of Voices for Creative Nonviolence Kathy Kelly will speak on “Resistance to the ‘Forever Wars,’” focusing on Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza and Yemen.

Thursday, March 19

Noon to 2 p.m., Genevieve Fisk Loranger Architecture Center, Warren Loranger Architecture Building

CLASA will co-sponsor the viewing of “Mexstacy,” followed by a talk by Dr. William Nerrccio, addressing stereotypes aimed at the Mexican and Mexican-American communities.

Tuesday, March 24

7 p.m., Room 114, Chemistry Building

CLASA is co-sponsoring the talk of Fr. John Dear on his recent book, “Praise Be Peace.”

Thursday, April 2

6:45 to 9:10 p.m., Student Union Ballroom

This year’s UCA Jesuit Martyrs Fundraiser Dinner will feature keynote speaker Ismael Moreno Coto, S.J., also known as Padre Melo.
