The Hive now serves Detroit Mercy employees

The Hive at Detroit Mercy logoAware of the challenging situation that many in our community continue to face, The Hive is now expanding food distribution services to University employees, including those directly contracted by Metz, Aramark and Barnes & Noble. The Hive is a student organization that assists peers in accessing food and increasing student success. The Hive distributes food, including fresh produce, twice a month from the sidewalk outside of Reno Hall on the McNichols Campus.

Distribution dates and times for October are Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Food distributed to employees will not take away from what is available to students. The Hive has sourced food specifically to attend to the needs of faculty, staff and administrators.
