Professor of Philosophy David Koukal will present the topic, “Higher Education and the Deworlding of the World,” on Friday, April 30 at 11 a.m. In his paper, Koukal argues that ignorance is a structural feature of human existence that if ignored dangerously distorts our sense of the world, and so must be seen as a foundational premise in designing curricula in higher education. All Detroit Mercy employees, students and community members are encouraged to attend the virtual presentation.

This presentation is part of the annual meeting of the Canadian organization, the Society for Existential and Phenomenological Theory and Culture.
