Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, is Wednesday, March 2.
Pope Francis has invited all on Ash Wednesday into a day of prayer and fasting for peace in Ukraine in order to be near to the suffering Ukranian people.
The Mass schedule at Detroit Mercy is as follows:
McNichols Campus
- St. Ignatius Chapel (noon) — Ashes distributed during the mass or outside of St. Ignatius Chapel between 11 a.m. and noon, and 1-2 p.m.
- Gesu Church (7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.) — Across the street from the McNichols Campus entrance.
Corktown Campus (School of Dentistry)
- Fourth Floor Reflection Room (12:30 p.m.)
Riverfront Campus (School of Law)
- SS. Peter and Paul (7 p.m.) — In-person and live-streamed on the SSPP Facebook page.
In preparation for Lent, come and celebrate Mardi Gras with University Ministry outside of the McNichols Campus Library on Tuesday, March 1 from 1-3 p.m. King Cake and coffee will be served.
