Detroit Mercy’s Center for Career and Professional Development is debuting a new career exploration series, titled “Ponder the Possibilities.”
The center will host two industry showcases in March that will allow students to explore career paths, meet representatives from organizations in the industry and gain insight on the day-to-day responsibilities of their chosen field. The showcases are:
- Technology Showcase, March 21 from 12-2 p.m., Fountain Lounge of the Student Union
- Healthcare and Natural Sciences Showcase, March 28 from 12-2 p.m., College of Health Professions Building, Room 124
Industry showcases provide an opportunity for students to meet with industry professionals in a small group setting. The showcases will include eight to 10 employers within specific industries. Students can drop-in and ask questions or just listen to information by the organizations at their station. A light lunch will be provided for all attendees.
