Call for Proposals: 2024’s AJCU Faith, Justice and Reconciliation Assembly

The steering committee for 2024’s AJCU Faith, Justice, and Reconciliation Assembly has extended the deadline for program proposals to Monday, Nov. 27. Feel free to share this information with your colleagues.

The AJCU Faith, Justice, and Reconciliation Assembly is set to take place July 16-19, 2024 at Loyola University Chicago. Formerly the Commitment to Justice in Jesuit Higher Education Conference, this Assembly is now a gathering under the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU). It expands the work of justice to include faith and reconciliation with special attention to how these principles are active and guiding the work of justice on our campuses.

In addition to accepted content, the Assembly will include to work of six commissions centered on areas of faith, justice and reconciliation. A list of commissioned themes is included in the proposal. Commission members were nominated by presidents, mission officers, provosts and others. Commission co-chairs then reviewed and selected teams of 8-25 faculty and staff from across our AJCU network. The commissions have been working on their themes since spring semester and will share their progress and recommendations at Assembly 2024.

Assembly registration and schedule information will be on the AJCU Faith, Justice, and Reconciliation Assembly website in the coming weeks.
