Four alumni to be honored with Business Leadership Awards, Oct. 18

Four College of Business Administration alumni will be recognized during the annual Business Leadership Awards on Sunday, Oct. 18.

The celebration honors leaders who demonstrate professional success, outstanding contributions to society and the embodiment of University of Detroit Mercy’s Jesuit and Mercy values.

The event, sponsored by Alliance Catholic Credit Union, will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass in the St. Ignatius Chapel, before moving to the Detroit Golf Club at 11:15 a.m. for brunch and the award ceremony. Tickets are $65 per person.

Lifetime Achievement Award:
  • The Most Rev. Robert J. Fisher ’83, auxiliary Bishop of Detroit
  • Winona Bynum ’24, program manager of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation
Rising Star Award:
  • Paul Formosa ’21, ’22, senior accountant at Plastipak Packaging
Brad Simmons Community Impact Award:
  • Isaiah “Ike” McKinnon ’75, ’78 , former police chief and deputy mayor of Detroit
