Mark your calendars and plan to attend the President’s Convocation on Wednesday, Aug. 16, the official opening of the 2023-24 academic year.
The activities will be in-person only and begin in the Student Union Ballroom, with breakfast served from 8:30-9:30 a.m. During the program that will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m., you will meet our new vice president for Mission Integration, share updates on major initiatives and look ahead to the future with information on the next strategic planning process, which we want all of you to be engaged in.
After the program, lunch will be served in the Fountain Lounge, which can also be enjoyed on the Fountain Terrace and Overhang just outside. Yard games will be available for a bit of light competition or you can challenge someone to a game of pool or ping pong in the Lower Level of the Student Union.
Casual summer attire is recommended so you can be comfortable as you enjoy the day. As always, this is an important time as we welcome new community members and catch up with friends and colleagues before the new year begins.
