The annual lists put out by Crain’s Detroit Business that highlight great work being done by metro Detroit professionals is rarely without a representative from University of Detroit Mercy.

The recent Notable Women in Marketing is another example, and the University is represented by an alumna and a professor.
Leah Haran ’93 is senior vice president for strategy and media relations for the Airfoil Group based in Royal Oak, a marketing and public relations firm.
According to the magazine, her client portfolio represents more than a third of Airfoil’s revenue, she leads several important areas of the company and shepherded a team that one the company its first prestigious Silver Anvil Award by the Public Relations Society of America.
Harah also volunteers as a fastpitch softball coach and with faith formation of young people at her church.
Adjunct Professor Lynne Golodner is also on the list. She is the owner of Your People LLC, a public relations and marketing firm in Huntington Woods. She also founded One Earth Writing, a nonprofit organization that uses writing and conversation to develop confidence in teens. She was named a Fulbright Specialist, meaning she can serve as an expert consultant at educational institutions across the country.
