Assistant Professor of English Stephen Pasqualina published “Such a Tangible Thing: Zora Neale Hurston’s Unruly Stones of Memory” in The Journal of American Culture.

The article, which is in a special issue focused on Hurston, explores what Hurston’s work reveals about contemporary controversies surrounding public monuments to the Confederacy.
