Detroit Mercy invites high school students to attend “Visit Day” on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to noon. Events will take place in the Fountain Lounge of the Student Center on the University’s McNichols Campus.
“Visit Day is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to spend time with the Detroit Mercy community as they learn what it is like to be a college student,” said Tyra Rounds, director of Admissions. “Deans, faculty, alumni and current students and their parents will be on hand to discuss what Detroit Mercy has to offer.”
University of Detroit Mercy encourages high school students, whether they have applied or not, to learn about academic programs, discuss financial aid and scholarships, meet students and receive a tour of the McNichols Campus.
It’s also a good time to learn about important things like choice of major, campus life and career services available to all Detroit Mercy students.
With more than 100 undergraduate, graduate and professional programs available, Detroit Mercy has earned numerous national rankings and honors for its exceptional education experience and impact on the community. In addition, alumni from Detroit Mercy include such notable individuals as Elmore Leonard, an internationally known crime writer; Actor Keegan-Michael Key; Actress Anita Barone (Jeff Foxworthy Show, The War At Home); and Jim Padilla, former CEO of the Ford Motor Co., among others.
