Black Abolitionist Archive sponsors two book discussions

The Black Abolitionist Archive invites the Detroit Mercy community to its upcoming “lunch and learn” presentations:

On Friday, Nov. 30 at noon in the Presidents Dining Room, Professor of History Greg Sumner will talk about his new book, “Michigan POW Camps in World War II.” A book signing will follow the discussion. This event is co-sponsored by the History Department, Phi Alpha Theta and the McNichols Campus Library.

On Friday, Dec. 7 at noon in the Presidents Dining Room, Harvard University’s Hutchins Center for African and African-American Research Fellow Anna-Lisa Cox will talk about her book, “The Bone and Sinew of the Land.” A book signing will follow the discussion. This event is co-sponsored by the African-American Studies Department.

Bring your lunch and expand your mind.
