Detroit Mercy Titans Athletics and Men’s Basketball Special Assistant to the Head Coach Eric Devendorf are teaming up with Street Cred Detroit and Wealthy Clothing for this year’s Detroit Winter Coat Drive. Together, the organizations are collecting new and gently worn coats for all ages and genders.
“This is extremely important to all of us involved to get this to be the biggest coat drive we have ever had,” said Devendorf. “We have all been blessed with so much and it’s our way to try and help those in need.”
Drop off new or gently worn coats at one of the following locations:
- Street Cred Building, 6340 East Jefferson in Detroit
- Wealthy Store, 8126 West 9 Mile Road in Oak Park
The men’s basketball team will also accept donated coats at the game against Ohio on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. in Calihan Hall.
Coats will be distributed on Sunday, Dec. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Street Cred Building, a business owned by local Detroiter, former college basketball standout and NBA player Jordan Crawford.
