Associate Professor of Education Isaiah “Ike” McKinnon gave the talk, “Faith in a violent society: an Ignatian perspective from a local guy,” to a gathering of the Jesuit Alumni and Friends of Detroit at the Detroit Athletic Club, Feb. 13. McKinnon highlighted his life experiences from serving in the Air Force in Vietnam to policing in Detroit and working with students, and lessons he learned on the way – lessons that often started with the question, “Lord, why me?”
