Fulbright comes to campus with opportunities for students and employees

The Institute of International Education will host two workshops, one for students and one for employees, on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. and 3:20 p.m., respectively. Both workshops are free and will be in Room 209 in the Commerce & Finance Building. An outreach and recruitment specialist will discuss the Fulbright Student Program (for students) as well as the Fulbright Scholar Program (for employees).

Topics covered in the Fulbright Student Program workshop include:

  • Opportunities for study/research, English teaching assistantships and special programs in more than 125 countries
  • Tips on how to craft a competitive application and choose the right country and award
  • Award benefits, timeline, eligibility, factors in selection, and more

Topics covered in the Fulbright Scholar Program workshop include:

  • Opportunities for teaching, research and flexible initiatives in more than 125 countries
  • Tips on how to craft a competitive application including how to make contacts abroad and choosing the right country and award
  • Ways to increase the University’s international profile by hosting a Fulbright Visiting Scholar through the Outreach Lecturing Fund and Scholar-in-Residence Program
