The Science, Technology and Race learning community presents, “Bridges not Fences III: A Conversation on Anti-Black Racism in the United States,” on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. on Zoom.
A group of undergraduate student panelists will explain the history of Black Lives Matter and the “defund the police” movement, discuss confederate flags and monuments and analyze the counter-protest reactions of Blue Lives Matter and All Lives Matter. This event will incorporate audience participation with polls and a Q&A session. While this event was made by students, for students, all Detroit Mercy employees are encouraged to participate.
