Detroit Mercy welcomes new students

Detroit Mercy first-year students socially distance and strike a pose in front of their new home, Shiple Hall.

Students arrived at Shiple Hall and other Detroit Mercy residence facilities from many parts of the country this week. Some students travelled from places as far as Massachusetts or California, while others came from right here in the city of Detroit. All of them expressed confidence in the University’s plans to ensure their safety during their studies and are excited to start the fall semester. Titan student-athletes, orientation leaders, members of Residence Life and other student organizations provided assistance with move-in.
