Each year, Soroptimist offers educational awards to women enrolled in programs beyond high school. All eligible Detroit Mercy students are encouraged to apply for the $3000 Live Your Dream Award; applications are due by Sunday, Nov. 15. Applicants must be head of household, be enrolled in any program past high school and have financial need.
In addition, eligible students may also apply for the $3000 “Virginia Educational” award if they are enrolled in a bachelor, master or doctoral program and have financial need. This award’s application is due by Jan. 15.
Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
