We all likely have a few choice words to describe 2020 – and that is precisely what we want! All Detroit Mercy students and employees are invited to submit a description, commentary or thought of 2020 using only six words. Fifteen finalists will each receive a $50 Amazon gift card and have their names and reflections published in Campus Connection. As an inspiring example, the New York Times suggests, “Social distancing myself from the fridge.”
2020 Six Words Submission Guidelines
• Entries must only contain six words. Submissions with more or less than six words will not be considered.
• Detroit Mercy employees and enrolled students are eligible to submit an entry.
• One entry is allowed per person.
• Authors must attest the entry is original.
• All entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18.
• Winners will be notified the week of Jan. 11 and posted in Campus Connection on Jan. 12.
• Entries should consider the internal audience and submit “kind humor.”
• Submission of an entry implies permission to use the six words as well as identify the author in CC.
