Detroit Mercy recognizes Undergraduate Research Week

In 2010, the United States of America House of Representatives declared Undergraduate Research Week (URW) as a time to celebrate the accomplishments and commitment of student undergraduate research and creative activity. At Detroit Mercy, the departments of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry have come together to host annual URW events. Independent research in faculty laboratories and research in teaching laboratories are important and innovative aspects of the education available at the University.

URW events are open to all Detroit Mercy students. The week of events have varied over the years, but they stand to support the same purpose – to showcase our undergraduate researchers and their work. This year, Undergraduate Research Week will start on Monday, April 19.
