Detroit Mercy President Antoine M. Garibaldi participated in the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Town Hall presentation “Celebrating Diverse Voices” on April 28. During his presentation, Garibaldi discussed how creating equitable access to higher education opportunities can impact communities. In addition, he described some of the many ways Detroit Mercy supports access to higher education for students through grants, scholarships and other philanthropic efforts.
The president also shared how Detroit Mercy’s tuition reset allows more Detroit students to attend the University and how a partnership with Live 6 Alliance is helping the McNichols Campus connect with the surrounding neighborhood. The primary message conveyed by President Garibaldi was this: “A college education is possible and affordable.”
