“I’m Mike Doryen but I am now referred to as “The CMD 2” being the Junior to my father. I am an alumnus of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Psi Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society, Alpha Iota Delta International Honor Society, The Global Jesuit Business Student Association, and Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity. I’m an individual who highly values my family, and loves them a lot, they’ve been a huge influence in my overall success. I have three siblings, and I’m the oldest. A fun fact about me is that I love to play soccer.”

What shocked you upon coming to the U.S.?

To be honest, upon coming to the United States, I wasn’t really shocked, I was just intrigued by the level of development and innovation.

What have you learned about yourself since arriving in the United States?

Well, nothing new, it has just been a reoccurring emphasis on being open-minded, determined, and the like.

What do you like best about Detroit Mercy and the United States?

I like being exposed to resources vital in achieving your goals and objectives.
