Service-Learning initiative focused on Antiracism

The Service Learning office is creating a learning community focused on antiracism in service-learning.

Participants will support each other during the 2021-22 academic year in choosing among a wide array of available materials — including videos, articles and books — and activities, to facilitate learning. The learning community will focus on how emerging insights about antiracism can be used to structure service-learning courses and events that are not course-based. Meetings will be planned based on participants’ schedules.

The ReBUILDetroit program is helping to fund the learning community.
