Shop for a “vintage” Christmas decoration, ornaments, Christmas cards, small gifts and surprise boxes and more with a Holiday Pop-up shop at the McNichols Campus Library. All proceeds will benefit the Titan Equity Nourish Network (TENN).
The fundraiser is being held in the library lobby from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7 and Wednesday, Dec. 8. The pop-up includes handmade gifts, including over 200 ornaments, small gifts for stocking stuffers, among many other items.
The proceeds from the affordable sale will support TENN’s on-going mission of creating a more equitable and sustainable food system in Detroit. There are also other ways to help this holiday season, which includes dropping off dry foods in the library or donating directly to TENN.
Some of TENN’s top dry food needs currently are: Rice, pasta, cereal, loaves of bread, canned soup, canned beans, granola bars, oatmeal, muffin mix, boxed mashed potatoes, pasta sauce and canned fruit.
In conjunction with the event, the library is co-hosting a TENN exhibit through the holiday season. The display illustrates the true picture of food injustice in the United States and also highlights TENN’s work.
