College of Health Professions and McAuley School of Nursing Assistant Clinical professor Grace Jacek was appointed to the Michigan Board of Nursing by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in late October.

Jacek’s term began Oct. 29, 2021 and runs through June 30, 2025.

The Michigan Board of Nursing was created to establish qualifications for nurse licensure and standards for education, approve nurse education programs and implement criteria for assurance of continued competency, among many other responsibilities.
