The Detroit Mercy men’s basketball team is set to play in its first nationally televised game of the season Friday evening, when the Titans host Milwaukee from Calihan Hall.
The game will be televised on ESPN2 across the country in a 7 p.m. tip.
Senior guard Antoine Davis is approaching the school record for career points, sitting just 35 points behind Titan Hall of Famer Rashad Phillips, who currently holds the mark with 2,319 points. Davis has 2,284 points entering Friday’s contest.
The Titans haven’t played a game since Dec. 19, when the squad defeated Central Michigan by an 89-75 margin from Calihan Hall. Detroit Mercy (4-7 overall) are winners in four of its last five games and has a 2-0 record early in the Horizon League season.
It’s the first of two scheduled games over the weekend for the Titans, which also host Green Bay on Sunday at 1 p.m.
