University to host diabetes health fair, June 5

Detroit Mercy’s College of Health Professions, School of Dentistry and Titan Equity Nourishment Network (TENN) will host a diabetes health fair on June 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in CHP room 124.

The health fair is designed to respond to the importance of preventative care in diabetes treatment and connect to and enhance the surrounding community. Faculty experts will discuss and share information on the effects of diabetes on the body as well as nutrition, oral and foot care.

TENN will provide bags with nutritious produce along with recipes from Eastern Market Partnership.

The health fair is free and open to the public. Registration is required by calling 313-993-1762 or completing an online form.
